Hothouse, art.earth Dartington, November 2019

Paleoarchaeologist Suzi Richer and I collaborated on a shared enquiry of the River Dart. Suzi’s focus on pollen, combined with my focus on water, caused us to consider our separate interests from new perspectives. Subsequently, I secured a commission for the Arts Institute, Plymouth, based on these exchanges, called The Underside of Time. This short moving image work will be screened as part of the Arts Institutes’ Legacies & Futures digital programme in Autumn 2020.

Srishti Institute of Art and Design, Bangalore, India Nov/Dec 2018

Work produced during this residency was performed in Rangoli Arts Centre, Bangalore, December 2018

Ephemeral River, art.earth Dartington, June 2018

During this immersive residency I created Ascent of Woman. This has led onto a short visual essay in the forthcoming ACE funded publication EnCOUnTErs (2021) and a live performance at Café Oto (London 2021)

The Porthleven Prize, Bath School of Art & Design, March 2018

I was selected for the first week of this two-part residency and developed work which eventually became Hydrosapien

Arts Quarter Budapest, November 2015

During my month in Budapest I harvested sound and moving image recordings from the various geothermal spas across the city. This developed into a short film called ‘Liquid’ which was screened as part of Fringe Arts Bath (2016) and at AQB (2017), as well as The Geumgang Nature Art Biennale Korea (2016), and within Place, Ecology & the Digital, DRHA, University of Brighton (2016).

Arts & Sustainability Residency, Cambridge School of Art, July 2015

From this residency I developed a geo-locative walk that used sound to share the histories of water access and ownership across Cambridge. This work was then included in Art, Language, Location 2016.
